Released in 2019, SYML is the self-titled debut album from Brian Fennell's project SYML, available here on CD. Pronounced “simmel,” the name means “simple” in Welsh, and simplicity is exactly what drives the record: 12 tracks of transcendent dream-pop, synth-rock, and folktronica, all recorded at home and mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer Joe Visciano (Beck, Adele). The album features breakout single “Where's My Love,” which found a wider audience after placement in an MTV Gen Z drama, alongside fellow single “Clean Eyes.”
