El Dorado, the 2020 debut solo album from Marcus King, pressed here on 180 gram vinyl. Passionate and deeply soulful, the album weaves soul, gospel, R&B, and country into something both modern and classic. King teamed with producer Dan Auerbach at Auerbach's Easy Eye Studio in Nashville, co-writing all 11 songs alongside writers including Pat McLaughlin, Paul Overstreet, and Ronnie Bowman. Auerbach also brought in legendary Memphis Boys session players Gene “Bubba” Chrisman and Bobby Woods, whose credits include Dusty Springfield's “Son of a Preacher Man” and Elvis Presley's “Suspicious Minds.”
