Sombr is a New York-born singer, songwriter, and producer (born Shane Boose) who began making music in his bedroom while studying classical composition at LaGuardia High School on the Lower East Side. After breaking through with the 2022 viral hit "caroline," he quickly became one of music's fastest-rising stars — amassing over 50 million monthly Spotify listeners, 2 billion career streams, and an MTV VMA Best New Artist nomination. His 2025 debut album I Barely Know Her, co-produced with Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius), features the chart-topping singles "back to friends," "undressed," and "12 to 12."
