Alice In Chains is one of grunge's defining bands, known for fusing heavy, sludgy riffs with haunting harmonies and dark, introspective songwriting. Rising out of Seattle alongside Nirvana and Soundgarden, the band built a catalog of landmark albums including Facelift, Dirt, and Jar of Flies, cementing frontman Layne Staley's voice as one of the genre's most distinctive. Since Staley's passing, the band has continued with William DuVall sharing vocal and guitar duties alongside founding members Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney, releasing acclaimed records like Black Gives Way to Blue that honor their legacy while pushing the band's sound forward.
