Last Friday, October 23rd, was a big one, and we didn't get a New Release Friday post out for it. So here's a catch-up. Michael Kiwanuka returned with his fifth studio album, Fudge. Samara Joy released a live set recorded at the Blue Note in Los Angeles. Charli xcx's early catalog arrived on vinyl, with three of the five titles pressed on vinyl for the first time. 12 Stones' debut got its first-ever vinyl pressing. The Devil Wears Prada reissued two metalcore favorites on colored vinyl. And Josiah Queen's new album Damascus Road landed on root beer vinyl.

Michael Kiwanuka — Fudge (Vinyl 2xLP)
Fudge is the fifth studio album from Michael Kiwanuka, and it's a personal one. For the first time since his 2012 debut Home Again, Kiwanuka took the lead on production, finishing the record with producer Dom Monks (Laura Marling, Big Thief) and his longtime strings collaborator Rosie Danvers. Written alongside 2024's Small Changes, the album is led by the single "Summer Clothes" and also features "California," "Just Another Moment," "Drowning In Your Heart," "Love In My Heart," "Across The Sky," "Stars," "Move In My Direction," "Steve's Paradise," and "Swings and Roundabouts." Pressed as a double vinyl LP.
Samara Joy — Live at the Blue Note L.A. (Vinyl LP)
Recorded during Samara Joy's sold-out April 2026 run at Blue Note Los Angeles, this live EP captures the six-time Grammy winner in an intimate club setting. It's all vocal command, warmth, and spontaneity, with Joy and her band at their most immediate and connected onstage. The set includes timeless standards "'Round Midnight," "Yesterdays," and "Lush Life," plus "No More Blues" and its reprise. If you've only heard Samara Joy on studio records, this is a great way to hear what she's like in a room.
Charli xcx: Five Early Records, on Vinyl
Charli xcx's early catalog, newly pressed on vinyl on Atlantic. Three of these five are first-ever vinyl pressings. Charli xcx — Pop 2 (Vinyl LP)
Widely regarded as one of her most influential and boundary-pushing projects, Pop 2 is a 2017 mixtape packed with an all-star cast of hyperpop and alt-pop collaborators. Features "Backseat" (feat. Carly Rae Jepsen), "Out of My Head" (feat. Tove Lo and ALMA), "Lucky Tears" (feat. Caroline Polachek), "Unlock It" (feat. Kim Petras and Jay Park), and "Delicious" (feat. Tommy Cash). This is its first time on vinyl.
Charli xcx — Number 1 Angel (Vinyl LP)
The other 2017 mixtape, a hyperpop-leaning collection that has remained a fan favorite since its digital-only debut, finally arrives on vinyl for the first time. Features "Dreamer" (feat. Starrah and RAYE), "3AM (Pull Up)" (feat. MØ), "Lipgloss" (feat. CupcakKe), "Babygirl" (feat. Uffie), and "Drugs" (feat. ABRA).
Charli xcx — Vroom Vroom (12" Vinyl EP)
Originally released in 2016 and produced by SOPHIE, the title track of Vroom Vroom marked a pivotal, experimental turn in Charli xcx's sound and remains a touchstone of the PC Music-adjacent hyperpop movement. The four-track EP includes "Vroom Vroom," "Paradise" (feat. Hannah Diamond), "Trophy," and "Secret (Shh)," and it's pressed here on 12" vinyl for the first time.
Charli xcx — Sucker (Vinyl LP)
Her 2014 second studio album, a brash, punk-tinged pop record that marked a bolder, more rebellious turn in her sound. Features the title track "Sucker," "Break the Rules," the crossover hit "Boom Clap," and "Doing It" (feat. Rita Ora).
Charli xcx — True Romance (Vinyl LP)
Where it all started. Originally released in 2013, True Romance is Charli xcx's debut studio album, a dreamy, synth-driven collection that remains a cult favorite among fans who followed her from the beginning. Features "Nuclear Seasons," "You (Ha Ha Ha)," "Stay Away," "So Far Away," and "What I Like."

12 Stones — 12 Stones (Vinyl LP, Green/Black Marble)
The 2002 self-titled debut from the Louisiana hard rock band that introduced "Crash," "Broken," "The Way I Feel," and "Open Your Eyes" has never been on vinyl until now. Originally released on Wind-Up Records, it arrives via Enjoy the Ride Records on green and black marble vinyl, a landmark of early 2000s hard rock finally available on the format.
The Devil Wears Prada — Plagues (Vinyl LP, Orange/Pink/Black)
A breakthrough release in modern metalcore, Plagues expanded The Devil Wears Prada's audience with heavier songwriting, technical musicianship, and memorable hooks. Features "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?," "Goats On A Boat," and "Number Three, Never Forgot," pressed as a limited edition on orange, pink, and black vinyl.
The Devil Wears Prada — Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord (Vinyl LP, Green Splatter — Anniversary Edition)
The influential debut album from metalcore favorites The Devil Wears Prada, featuring explosive energy and the foundation of their signature sound. Features "Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over," "Swords, Dragons & Diet Coke," and "Texas Is South." This Anniversary Edition is pressed on green splatter vinyl on Rise Records, and it pairs naturally with Plagues for anyone building out their TDWP collection.

If you're picking just one Charli xcx record from this batch, Pop 2 and Number 1 Angel are the ones to grab. Both are first-ever vinyl pressings and tend to be the most requested of her early projects. The Michael Kiwanuka Indie Exclusive Mint Green 2LP has already sold out, so if you want Fudge on vinyl, the standard 2xLP is the way to go. And the 12 Stones debut is a first-ever vinyl pressing on marble vinyl, so it's worth grabbing before it's gone.
