Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the special and 75 years of Peanuts, LMFP presents the premiere release of Vince Guaraldi's soundtrack for 1975's You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown, pressed here as a 45 RPM 12” Zoetrope LP, a Guaraldi and Peanuts first. Guaraldi's score was mixed and mastered for audiophiles, jazz lovers, and Peanuts fans everywhere from the original 2” session tapes to a 192kHz/24bit master. Beyond the composer's playing, Seward McCain plays electric bass, Mark Rosengarden plays drums, and John Scott Trotter supervised the music. The record includes fresh takes on “Peppermint Patty” and “Linus and Lucy,” plus a bonus track, “You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown (Unused Opening Cues),” and four additional bonus tracks from the 1973 LMFP project “Bicycles Are Beautiful,” also scored by Guaraldi with McCain on bass and Glenn Cronkhite on drums.
