Hope Is a Heavy Thing Vinyl LP (Translucent Black Ice)

Hope Is a Heavy Thing is a new album from Joy Oladokun, one of today's most compelling genre-defying voices, releasing here on transparent Black Ice vinyl. A queer Black musician and daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Oladokun writes songs exploring identity, faith, mental health, and social justice with honesty and restraint, and produced this album herself with additional contributions from Nigerian producer Spellz and a feature from Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold.
