Sunflowers and Leather Vinyl LP

Sunflowers and Leather is the debut album from Savannah, Georgia native Jonah Kagen, on 2LP vinyl. Inspired by life's balance of love and loss, light and dark, it was written, recorded, and produced entirely by Kagen while traveling across the American South and West in a converted Airstream trailer. Kagen describes the title as capturing the album's contrasts, with “Sunflowers” standing for beauty and joy and “Leather” for pain and grit. Songs like “The Reaper” and “Burn Me” (feat. Sam Barber) wrestle with mortality, faith, and inner conflict, while others lean into love and connection.
