Dizzy Up The Girl is the sixth studio album from alt-rock veterans The Goo Goo Dolls, originally released in 1998 and available here on vinyl LP. In most parts of the world, Dizzy Up The Girl is the band's most successful album to date, selling over three million copies (3x platinum certified). The success of the album can largely be attributed to the rock ballad “Iris,” which was also included on the soundtrack album for the film City of Angels. “Iris” immediately reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart upon its release in March and stayed on top for 18 weeks, setting a record that still stood as of September 2012. The song also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock, Adult Top 40, and Mainstream Top 40 charts, along with several other charts in the U.S. and U.K., and earned three Grammy nominations.
