XO, originally released in 1998 on DreamWorks Records, is Elliott Smith's fourth studio album and his first solo album on a major label, pressed here on vinyl LP. Recorded between 1997 and 1998 and led by the singles “Waltz #2 (XO)” and “Baby Britain,” it was well received by critics, with Pitchfork praising Smith's growing mastery of pop song structure and BBC Music calling it “perhaps the greatest long-player Smith released.”
