This fourth album from the acclaimed Californian "progressive bluegrass" trio is their first in seven years and follows a number of diverse solo projects from its members, most notably mandolinist Chris Thile's work in Punch Brothers. Bringing all this experience to the table, they once again push the boundaries of bluegrass with numerous influences from outside the genre, including classical and jazz. "Love of Mine" is a classic melancholy Nickel Creek ballad, while "Departure" is a country-rock-flavored tune that recalls prime Fleetwood Mac. - iTunes
