Released in 2022, Chloë and the Next 20th Century is Father John Misty's fifth album — his first new material since 2018's God's Favorite Customer. This limited edition first pressing on clear blue vinyl was written and recorded between August and December 2020, reuniting Tillman with longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson, with string, brass, and woodwind arrangements by Drew Erickson recorded at United Recordings in Los Angeles. Features the singles "Funny Girl," "Q4," "Goodbye Mr. Blue," and "Kiss Me (I Loved You)."
